Bournemouth Air Festival 31st August – 3rd September 2023
The Annual Bournemouth Air Festival will take place on
August 31st – 3rd September 2023
Whatever you want to see, be it on land, sea or in the air there will be plenty to keep you entertained this year. As well as flying displays throughout the afternoon and early evening there will be so much more to see across the whole area including a Royal Navy dive tank, unarmed combat displays, cooking demonstrations by Navy chefs, the newly located RAF village, product sampling from a multitude of traders and of course the traditional Funfair.
Getting here
Here is where you will find all you need to make your way to the Air Festival – whether it’s by car, using the park & ride service, public transport, bus, coach or train.
By Car
Park & Ride – Kings Park BH7 7AF
During the Festival, Park & Ride will operate from Kings Park. Parking is free but there is a charge to use the bus which will drop off at Manor Road (BH1 3EZ) approx 5-10 min walk to the event site.
Tickets entitle up to 7 people to use the bus (return)
By bus and coach
There are plenty of coach providers offering great prices on travel to and from Bournemouth. All coaches arrive in the heart of Bournemouth, right next to the train station, where taxis and local buses are waiting to take you to your hotel, the Town Centre or seafront. Bournemouth also has a great bus service with regular routes to the Town Centre.
During the Air Festival coach drop off points are available on Westover Road (BH1 2BU). Coach parking: Queens Road coach and car park (BH2 6BE) will be available for coach parking on all four days of the festival. Please note: coach parking at Kings Park will not be available during the duration of the Air Festival. Please refer to this map for details about our road closures. Coaches will not be allowed through these areas.
By train
Bournemouth is well served by the rail network with three local railway stations – the main Bournemouth station, Pokesdown to the east and Branksome to the west. There is an excellent train service to and from various locations around the UK, as well as a fast service from London Waterloo in as little as 97 minutes.
