SUBSTANTIAL LISTED GEORGIAN TOWNHOUSE IN THE HISTORIC CENTRE OF CHRISTCHURCH.

An imposing and very spacious, Grade 2 Listed, three storey, Georgian, townhouse, fully refurbished and refurnished in 2015/2016 to a very high standard that can accommodate up to 15 people. Centrally located within the Christchurch conservation area, The former vicarage, now called Quay House, has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and off street car parking for up to 4 cars. There is also a large garden, which is rare for such a central location, with tables and seating for up to 15. The property has a large, bay windowed, lounge with 60” TV (plus Virgin media) that can seat up to 15 and an extensive kitchen diner than runs across the whole width of the house and can again seat up to 15 around a single table. The master bedroom has a super king-size four-poster bed and its own ensuite and seating area, within the large bay window. The house is perfectly located, immediately adjoining the Christchurch Priory and the Priory Quarter, yet still within only a few minutes walk of all the excellent facilities of the town centre, including many fine restaurants, excellent shopping and a small cinema. In the opposite direction, it is only a few minutes onto the Quay where ferries can take you across Christchurch Harbour to the Mudeford Beaches (with its £250k beach huts!) and to Hengistbury Head.

New for 2018/19 we have a beach hut available at Sandbanks in Poole from October 18′ – March 19′. The huts are available exclusively for our guests that have booked one of our holiday homes for 1 day per 7-night stay. They are not suitable for overnight stays. Further details on request.

Magnificent Kitchen & Dining room enabling 15 guests to enjoy eating and drinking in a spacious and characterful room with doors out onto the patio area.

Within the kitchen we have provided everything you would need to cater for 15 guests. With a full height free standing side by side fridge / freezer, coffee making machine, microwave, feature Range double oven with 6 burner gas hob, dishwasher, and washing machine with dryer facility.

We have created a large island with ample storage under enabling food preparation to be carried out whilst enjoying entertaining with family and friends.

Inset Wood-Burner, ideal for Winter weekend getaways.  A 60″ Samsung TV is provided complimented by Virgin Media package including Movies and Sport for your total home from home experience.  Views out onto the rear garden.

Further Information

Facilities and Services: Gas fired central heating and electricity included. Travel cot, 2 high chairs and stairgates available (but please bring own cot bedding), dogs welcome, fully enclosed garden (not secure for small dogs) with patio and barbecue area. Bookings are Friday to Friday for 7 night stays, Friday to Monday for weekend stays, and Monday to Friday for mid-week stays.

  • There is a £500 refundable security deposit to ensure against damage, pets are charged at £25 each and towels are included
  • The first basket of logs for the wood burner in the lounge is free and then £5 per basket thereafter
  • Welcome pack provided including a bottle of Presecco, locally produced honey, shortbread biscuits, milk, tea & coffee. Also a discount Go New Forest card to be used locally which can provide discounts when used with participating businesses.

Parking for up to 4 cars is provided screened by large secure wooden electric gates.

Christchurch Harbour, the River Avon and the River Stour, are literally on your doorstep, provide some of the best fishing in the UK and are also excellent for water based sports, particularly sailing, canoeing and windsurfing. Excellent beaches can be found within a few miles at Hengistbury Head, Mudeford, Southbourne and Bournemouth. The new Forest National Park is within 5 miles. As well as the excellent shopping facilities of Christchurch, more significant centres can be found in Bournemouth (7 miles) and Southampton (20 miles) Christchurch is an excellent base for golfers with some of the finest courses in the UK within close proximity. Remedy Oak (45 mins), Ferndown GC (20 mins), Barton on Sea GC ( 20 mins) Queens Park, (15 Mins), Meyrick Park (20 Mins ), Parkstone GC (25 mins), Broadstone GC (25 minutes), Isle of Purbeck (40 min) and for the less accomplished golfers, Solent Meads (10 mins) and Ilford Golf Centre (15 Mins). This really is the perfect house and location for a large family or a family gathering and an ideal base from which to explore the south coast but still with all facilities you could want within a very short walk.
