- Lyme Regis Fossil and Earth Science Festival – 13th to 14th June. A free festival celebrating the unique geological heritage of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. Young explorers can step back millions of years and uncover fascinating stories of the dinosaurs that once walked this very stretch of coastline.
- Chesil Rocks, Weymouth Pavilion – 20th June. An annual music and arts festival with all proceeds going to the Samaritans of Dorset – great music for a great cause.

July is packed with highlights, making it one of the busiest and most exciting months in the Dorset events calendar:
- Dorset Seafood Festival, Weymouth – 4th to 5th July. A celebration of local seafood and produce, with stalls in the Pavilion carpark at the start of Weymouth Harbour. A must for seafood lovers.
- Bourne Free, Bournemouth – 11th to 12th July. Bournemouth’s Pride Festival is one of the biggest and most popular in the county, bringing colour, music, and celebration to the town centre.
- Shaftesbury Fringe – 17th to 19th July. Comedians in cafés, musicians in salons, dancers at the dentists – you never quite know what you’ll find at Shaftesbury Fringe. Over 250 acts across three days fill every corner of this pretty hilltop town.
- Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival – 17th to 19th July. Commemorating the six local farmers who formed a union in 1834 and were arrested for standing up for workers’ rights, this festival combines history, music, and community spirit.
- Mudeford Arts Festival, Christchurch – 25th to 26th July. A free community arts, crafts, and music festival showcasing some of the best handmade work from the surrounding area. A lovely way to spend a weekend close to our Christchurch properties.
- Camp Bestival, Lulworth – 30th July to 2nd August. Set against the stunning backdrop of Lulworth Castle, Camp Bestival is one of the friendliest and most colourful festivals going. - Bridport Hat Festival – 5th September. It’s Haturday! A celebration of all things hat, with music, competitions, and all kinds of wonderfully inventive headwear.
- Dorset County Show, near Dorchester – 5th to 6th September. For over 175 years, this annual show has celebrated Dorset’s rural roots with farming, local produce, and country life at its finest.
- Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival – 12th to 13th September. A celebration of cheese held in the hometown of the famous Dorset Blue Vinney – what’s not to love!
- Swanage Folk Festival – 11th to 13th September. A weekend of concerts, workshops, and traditional dance displays, including Morris dancing, bringing the summer season to a spirited close.
