Thank you Nick for your 5 star Trust Pilot review for Quay House for your stay in June 2024. As you say Quay House is close to Christchurch Quay and benefits from lovely walks on the doorstep into the thriving market town of Christchurch or a leisurely stroll by the river.
We are glad that the clock tower did not disturb your rest too much and we hope to host you again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Quay House, the house is a gem, large enough for a party of 14 that gave us alot of space, yet to get together easily. The location next to the Priory was lovely (although the bell ringng during the night was an initial problem solved by ear plugs!) The close proximity to the centre of Christchurch, the water and various walks was perfect. The administration (emails,documentation, website) by Short Stay Homes was professional and friendly. The property was delivered very clean with an impressive inventory of kictchen utensils! We would definitely stay again.

Games room was an amazing facility at Beck Cottage
We do love it when guests appreciate the facilities of our properties on offer, and with Beck Cottage in the New Forest with these guests it was the games room and the local, the Horse and Groom which is an easy walk from the cottage for those all important refreshments.
Beautiful cottage with lots of space for a multi generational family break! We had a lovely meal at the Horse and Groom next door. Games room was an amazing facility.

Our guests who stayed for a golf tour appreciated all the amenities that Mews Hill in the New Forest has to offer, great walks and exclusive fishing from the doorstep and not to mention the proximity to some fabulous golf courses.

Have just spent 3 days in this lovely cottage on the outskirts of the New Forest.
I can only praise the highest standard of this accommodation
If you want to walk, fish or play golf this property is ideally located for all of these activities The generous dining room and kitchen would be ideal for any large group or family gathering.
In addition there is a beautiful garden and secure children’s play area.
Go for it.
Stayed in Mews Hill Cottage for 3 nights recently and I have to say it was a brilliant experience. Very well appointed with comfortable bedrooms , a superb kitchen,and spacious sitting/dining room.
It is well located next to the New Forest with many good pubs/restaurants nearby.
Would make ideal location for a family/friends gathering.

A Dream Christmas Location!
We love to set our properties up for Christmas with Christmas trees and plenty of logs for the wood burners and it looks like these guests were very appeciative and so enjoyed their festive stay at our New Forest Cottages. You will be happy to know that we have boosted the wifi signal and this has resulted in the EV chargers performing much better. A Dream Christmas Location!
We initially found these cottages searching for Christmas stays on the web, on bigger aggregate sites, but contacted them direct and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we contacted Short Stay Homes to make the booking, during our stay, and post, the service, responses and actions were exemplary. The accommodations at Mews Hill and Criddlestyle, in the New Forest, were true to the description and photo gallery on the website, and more! Across the two cottages there was more than enough room and comfort to accommodate the family, 16 adults & 3 dogs! We had all our main meals together in Mews Hill with easily enough space and cooking facilities. The lounges, dining areas & kitchens / cooking facilities, were all so well appointed and the bedroom and living areas, comfortable and cosy. There was also enough bathrooms to accommodate everyone! The standout features in each cottage are definitely the log burners, and the decorated Christmas trees in each cottage were the final touch to give it that Christmas feel! Also the hot tub, which was great! A couple of things that could be better are: 1. The wi-fi signal, which on a couple of days was intermittent (more for the younger adults) and 2. The electric car chargers in each cottage. We found it impossible to get these working either using the QR code or downloading the relevant app. (There was a fast charger less than a 5min drive away) Those small points aside, our Christmas week being in the New Forest was the ideal location for walks, including post Christmas dinner and to the local pub! There was a village a short drive away for any needed shopping. Then of course the River Avon a short walk away! So Christmas in two lovely cottages, in a beautiful setting, I’d highly recommend it!
