Lovely bank holiday weekend on our annual 3x family getaway. The cottage was a tremendous base to visit nearby towns and also time to complete a park run at Moors Valley.

Blackdown Views with Shepherds Hut Sleeps 14
Wonderful family break in exceptional Blackdown Views
The Planetary allignment on Friday 28th February 2025 must have been a real treat for our guests who stayed at Blackdown Views, clear skies and very little light pollution.
Looks like the fishing was great as well.
A wonderful family break at Blackdown Views, Devon.
We have stayed for four fabulous nights at this wonderful house. Blessed with perfect weather and some excellent fishing. As well as catching lots of carp in Marlpit Lake we were also able to fish in both Home and Ram lakes at the nearby South Farm fishery. Here, we all caught well with carp up to 12lbs and bream up to 5lbs. We ate locally at the Merry Harriers at Westcott, The Sidmouth Arms at Upottery and the Drewe Arms Inn at Broadhembury. All were excellent with the Drewe Inn probably just the best but also the most expensive. Despite it being very cold at night the eco friendly house was always warm and the wood burner very efficient. Justin at South Farm was very helpful on fishing techniques and always happy to give advice and guidance. We will definitely be back.

Our guests who stayed for a golf tour appreciated all the amenities that Mews Hill in the New Forest has to offer, great walks and exclusive fishing from the doorstep and not to mention the proximity to some fabulous golf courses.

Have just spent 3 days in this lovely cottage on the outskirts of the New Forest.
I can only praise the highest standard of this accommodation
If you want to walk, fish or play golf this property is ideally located for all of these activities The generous dining room and kitchen would be ideal for any large group or family gathering.
In addition there is a beautiful garden and secure children’s play area.
Go for it.
Stayed in Mews Hill Cottage for 3 nights recently and I have to say it was a brilliant experience. Very well appointed with comfortable bedrooms , a superb kitchen,and spacious sitting/dining room.
It is well located next to the New Forest with many good pubs/restaurants nearby.
Would make ideal location for a family/friends gathering.

Had a wonderful family weekend celebrating an 80th birthday. Weather was glorious, so we really enjoyed the garden areas. Games room a brilliant hit! Plenty of open space for all ages to enjoy and had a lovely trip to see the ponies.
Loved open plan kitchen diner and lots of special memories created over many dinners and lunches.
