This was our 3rd multigenerational holiday at The Quays and was just as great as the others! The house is fabulous – spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Most bedrooms very large and all beds very comfortable. The location is great, something for everyone of all ages, whether in town, on the river or on the beach. A wonderful place and we hope to be back again. Thanks to Caroline and team for smooth booking, good communication and detailed information.

Excellent property. Great for multi generational groups (and dogs) lots of space. Very close to town and quay with childrens splashback and playground. Parking for 4 cars.

We had such a wonderful family holiday staying at The Quays in Christchurch. The property was amazing – spotlessly clean and furnished and equipped with everything you could need and much more. We were 11 adults and 6 children and it was great to stay in a house where we could easily relax, play and eat together. And Short stay homes were so helpful before and during our stay. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing house! We all had an amazing time celebrating an 80th, 23rd and mothers day. The location is perfect, with both the river and town just round the corner. (and the church over the wall!) Just a 10 minute drive away is Hengistbury Head which is the perfect place to watch the sunset. It was the perfect venue for 19 (supposed to be 21!) of us and it was so nice to see everyone; travelling from Cornwall, Devon, Hampshire and West Sussex! The weather was perfect for our stay. It’s like they knew we were coming.

Thank  you so much for letting us stay, we will definitely be coming back!

The best house we could have wanted for 8 adults and 11 children (who had the best time!) – everything we needed, such a well stocked comfortable house. We will be back to glorious Christchurch and The Quays.

Quay House was a fabulous venue for this long awaited get together.

Quay House was a fabulous venue for a long over-due get together with friends. The house was so spacious (the pictures do not do it justice!), there was 15 of us and no time did the house feel congested. Quay House was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Location of the house is fantastic, everything right on the doorstep but still in a quiet location. A return visit is a must for me.

Quay Corner was ideal for our family: Grandma, Grandad, Uncle, Auntie, Mum, Dad, children 7 and 9 and 2 dogs. With 3 bathrooms and an excellent walk in shower there were no problems in the morning. Carpeted throughout meant noise of early rising children and dogs did not disturb sleepers. Good size tables inside and out for family meals, nice to have serving dishes and plenty of crockery. The only warning to give is the stairs might be a problem for someone with mobility issues, both flights are steep, narrow and have a sharp turn at the bottom. Any problems or queries we had were dealt with promptly. The central position and parking for 4 cars meant that we did not have to worry about parking. We were able to walk to a splash park, and 2 play parks 10 minutes. Castle ruins, medieval house ruins, Priory, 10 mins Ferry and river 10 mins, Shops 2 mins, Waitrose and Sainsbury 10 mins by car. Visited Bournemouth Aviation Museum, lots of hands on activity, Bovington Tank Museum, Great day out Snowtrax fun morning, Special lunch at Harbour Hotel, Upper deck restaurant highly recommended ( great understanding of allergies) We had a lovely holiday and will defintely retrun to Quay Corner

“Excellent accommodation for our family celebration with plentiful crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen utensils of a good quality. Very comfortable and ideally situated for shops, restaurants and the quay side. It was a delight for all of us to be able to sit and dine together and for the grandchildren to have a garden to play in. Can recommend.”

‘A lovely spacious property, in a great location for exploring the area. In particular, the garden was really nice and being able to lock the gate, meant we knew the children were safe playing outside. Our younger children really enjoyed the playroom; having stories to read was great, as we’d forgotten to pack books! Thanks for a lovely stay.’

Celebrating 50 years of marriage!

A lovely weekend – luckily we got our Hengistbury Head walk in before Storm Ciara hit…. 3 generations loved the space and the well equipped kitchen. And the fresh flowers were a lovely welcome!

 Quay Corner feels like our second home

Our annual stay here has been fabulous once again. We love it here and we’re sorry to leave, it feels like our second home.

Our annual family outing!

Grandma, Grandpa, two daughters, two son-in-laws and four adventurous teenage boys. Unfortunately weather variable but that didn’t stop us. Managed two days on the beach and in the sea. Plenty of cycle routes (bought cycles with us and kept in shed). Cycled to Bournemouth, Grandma went on a zip wire for the first time in her life. Plenty to do in the locality – plenty of green and pine locally for football, cricket etc.

We’ve had the most amazing weekend in this outstanding, luxurious, fantastic property. Everything about the house has just added to a really perfect weekend. 13 of us from the ages of 13 through to 88 have enjoyed this location, the garden, all the lovely spacious bedrooms and most of all the meals we’ve had around the huge dining table.We would all love to come back again next year.

Well equipped property with excellent living space for the group. Location was fabulous for the town and even better we could all park which is tough to find in the area. You need to be aware that being so central comes with the sounds of Christchurch itself. Light sleepers may hear the bells, but it comes part of being so central! Would definitely recommend and return to the property, exactly as described.

Fantastic property, we had everything we needed, comfortable, homely, clean and warm – perfect! Close to shops, beach and beautiful area too. A little gem. We would highly recommend it and we are coming back next year.

Quay House was certainly a hit for a 60th birthday celebration.

An unforgettable weekend with 14 friends to celebrate my 60th, Quay House was perfect in every way, such a beautiful home.

A Beautiful house and a lovely town excited to be coming back next week and would definitely recommend coming to stay here to all family and friends.

Quay House was ideal for our group of 14 adult cyclists. The location near the centre of Christchurch was ideal with its range of eating and drinking venues a short stroll away. The house itself was first class with all the rooms furnished and finished to a very high standard. The large, well equipped kitchen and dining room were perfect for breakfasts and a group evening meal. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden with its outside dining / seating area. The generous welcome pack was also a really nice touch. I’m pretty sure a proposal to return to Quay House next year would be met with a big ‘thumbs-up’ from everyone in our group.

Caroline and the team at Short Stay Homes were extremely helpful prior to arrival, providing advice and assistance with our reservation, as well as local knowledge about the area. Thanks for a great time.

We had a fantastic stay at Quay House in Christchurch: it is a beautiful period house in a really magical part of the world. The house is extremely well – equipped and caters very well to a large group staying there – with enough bed space, seating, cooking and dining space for all. Quay House is right in the heart of town so you can walk to the shops and pubs, and it is right next to the historic Priory. There is a great walk, involving a sweet little ferry boat trip, to Hengistbury Head nature reserve from the house which I would really recommend. Caroline was prompt and helpful in her responses to questions, and was flexible in terms of check-in and check-out times. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic place to celebrate the Big 60th Birthday with friends & family as there is a great supply of crockery, cutlery & space.

Good customer service providing excellent, accurate and useful property details before arrival. In a very good location, quiet but near the town, the house is well maintained, clean and very well furnished. A day trip to Mudeford Sandbank via the ferry with time spent on the beach went down well with three generations as did a walk on Hengistbury Head. Highly recommend this property for any group, same age or mixed generations.
