CHRISTCHURCH FOOD FESTIVAL 2023The Christchurch Food Festival 2022 was amazing – we had 120 artisan producers, 25 delicious street food traders, a choc a block line-up of entertainment, live sheep and one of the best line-ups of chef talent we have ever seen….(thanks James Golding and Dhruv Baker)!

We are already looking forward to next year when the festival will take place from 27th – 29th May 2023 on what must be one of the most beautiful festival venue sites in the UK – Christchurch Quay.

We are planning on bringing even more wonderful content to next years event and will be updating the website over the next few months.

Salisbury Cathedral – Brahms: Requiem March 25th

Salisbury Musical Society presents this captivating Centenary Concert featuring Brahms’ Requiem.

SMS, accompanied by the Chelsea Opera Group Orchestra, perform one of the most significant choral pieces of the 19th Century, conducted by David Halls, Director of Music at Salisbury Cathedral. The concert will open with a specially commissioned piece by David Halls, celebrating Salisbury Musical Society’s Centenary Season.

David Halls: The Beauty of Holiness

This piece was commissioned especially for this SMS Centenary Concert, setting words from Psalm 96. Sung by Salisbury Musical Society and accompanied by Chelsea Opera Group Orchestra.

Johannes Brahms: Academic Festival Overture

An orchestral overture composed by Brahms in 1880 for the University of Breslau.

Johannes Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem)

Completed in 1868, this is a large work for chorus, orchestra and two soloists, setting texts from the Scriptures in German.

Beaulieu River Boat Trip – Spring / Summer 2023

For our guests staying in our  New Forest Properties and our Dorset Properties, why not have a day out at on the Beaulieu river meeting at Bucklers Hard, you can board the Lazy Daze for a gentle 2.5 hour cruise along the Beaulieu River to the Solent coast and back.

The Beaulieu River is rich in wildlife with no two trips the same. This low-tide cruise will enable us to watch a great variety of birds and other wildlife from the unique viewpoint of the river, while operating at a safe and responsible distance to ensure there is no disturbance. Our guests will be able to immerse themselves in the beautiful scenery of this tranquil corner of the New Forest, and to take advantage of the fantastic photo opportunities of landscapes and wildlife.

Maximum group size of eight; tea, coffee and cake is provided. Lifejackets are also provided, but note that there are no toilet facilities on board. Lazy Daze is fully licensed to operate on the Beaulieu River.

Note, there is a £5.00 charge per car for parking at the Bucklers Hard marina.
