The cottage is within the New Forest National Park but only 1 mile form the pretty riverside town of Fordingbridge and within walking distance of all the extensive facilities of Sandy Balls - extensive woodlands, walks, fishing on the Hampshire Avon, leisure centre, shops and restaurants. There are also many golf courses within close proximity.
The cottage can accommodate up to 10 people, with a large, two level beamed sitting/dining room with wood burner, patio doors, Sky Satellite 42” FST, DVD player and wood burning fire. There is also a newly fully fitted kitchen with an electric hob & double oven, microwave, full height fridge and separate freezer, dish-washer and washer drier.
There are 5 bedrooms within the cottage. Bedroom 1 has a king size double bed and possible en-suite bathroom, bedroom two has a double bed, bedroom three has adult sized bunk beds, bedroom 4 has a double bed and possible en suite shower room and bedroom 5 has two single beds and an en suite shower room.
Facilities and Services: Electric storage heaters and electricity included, phone for incoming calls and emergency outgoing calls, travel cot and high chair available on request (but please bring own cot bedding), dogs welcome, fully enclosed garden with patio area, private parking for up to three cars, Short breaks available, Friday to Friday bookings.

Optional Additional charges/activities:
- 100 yards of exclusive private fishing on the Hampshire Avon only a few hundred yards from the cottage. There are 5 good swims suitable for specimen coarse fishing with Barbel up to 14lb 10oz, Chub up to 7lb 1 oz, Roach up to 3lb 2 oz and carp up to 28lb. £75 pp pw or £20 per day pp for short breaks. Please note that day tickets can be obtained for the immediately adjoining Sandy Balls 1/2 mile stretch of the river for £9 per day pp.
- There is a £200 refundable security deposit to ensure against damage, pets are charged at £25 each and towels are charged at £7.50 per person.
- For £250 per day there is a 16' boat with a 10hp outboard with trailer which whilst too big for the river, would be ideal for fishing/ site seeing in both Christchurch and Poole harbour.
- The first basket of logs for the wood burner in the lounge is free and then £5 per basket thereafter.
